| 3/9/2011 | parent | Gateway Elementary has been a model school for my son, He has done very well since the first grade and has , fortunately, had caring and supportive teachers. This has been a Great school for my child. |
| 9/18/2008 | parent | Gateway provides a caring, nurturing environment, with teachers who obviously love their students and teach with competence. Principal Glenn Wright has always been responsive and accessible. Gateway students learn not only how to read, write, add and subtract; they also learn how to be model citizens and exhibit the strong morals and conservative values reflective of the Travelers Rest community. We are thankful for Gateway Elementary. |
| 3/7/2008 | parent | This is a really great school! Most teachers my daughter has had so far have been excellent, except for one.. I rather not state the name, but she does not make the learning fun at all, and expect the children to do their own learning. I would like to see more study guides and not guessing what's on the next test. |
| 3/14/2006 | parent | My children attended Gateway Elementary and were more than prepared for middle school. The standards are being taught by confident, energetic, and informed professionals. Hats off to the administration and faculty/staff of Gateway. Keep up the exceptional work! |
| 6/1/2004 | parent | Both of my boys have graduated from G.E. and have received an excellent education. Gateway really delivers--the teachers are caring and do take the time to deal with your child whether or not they need extra help. All teachers are there when a parent needs them as well. I had my doubts about public elementary schools, but since my boys have been here; I've had a mind change. Keep up the excellent work, Gateway! |
| 8/10/2003 | parent | From past experience I would not put my child back in Gateway Elem. because certain teachers are not capable of teaching or dealing with children of ADHD. There is two teachers who are great and should not be apart of this survey..Mrs.Leopard and Mrs.McCrary. They are wonderful teachers, but the teachers in 1st grade should be monitored by parents. |
