10/14/2008parentWe moved from Indiana at the beginning of 2008 they were well recieved and caught up and pushed beyond. Dandridge did better then Indiana.
2/7/2008parent I'd say about half the teachers rank adequate to good, but only a handfull are considered great. Zero tolerence policy for bullying is'nt upheld as much as it should be. I like the counselors and parental involvement is encouraged. Aministration is very kind and loving, but to a fault most times. I'd like to see a tutoring program and a useful computer class being taught at DES.
8/14/2006parentParent involvement is not only well received but encouraged. The principal is a very un-intimidating person to both students and parents, (you don t have the feeling you ve been sent to the principal s office as a parent) and is very involved in the students on a personal level. Smaller classes allow students with problems (either accelerated learning or problems with learning) to be picked out and helped very early on. Also allows more one on one time with students. Music and creative courses are rudimentary, but taught with creative teachers who are very helpful to students. Sports and other extra curricular programs are through local community, not school, but are extensive. Academics exceed the previous school system we moved from in Palm Beach County FL. More attention is paid to the individual student in this school. DES is also very clean and doesn't have that 'school' smell in the hallways. :)
7/16/2004parentMy son has just graduated from DES. We had a good experience at this school. They deal with the large number of students and the little space in a very efficient way. My son had wonderful teachers and he felt loved and wanted during his entire stay at DES.
7/1/2004parentMy son will be returning to Dandridge Elementary for his 1st grade adventure this upcoming year. After having to deal with our 'family breakup' recently, he has overcome many obstacles thanks to the assistance and patience of both the counseling department and the other staff members! This school has the most patient and understanding authority figures I've ever seen. My son loves getting up and going to school because he's made to feel important. I can't begin to express my gratitude to everyone there who's made my son's first school experience one to remember! Thanks for not only helping my son cope with difficult times, but also for making myself feel like my opinion matters!
6/14/2004parentThe principal and assistant principal are great! They have a genuine interest in the children. My daughter enjoys and excels in this school.
10/31/2003parentMy daughter loves Dandridge Elementary. It is a great school. A lot of hands on attention done in a very professional manner.
