| 7/10/2012 | parent | A lot of CISD was rezoned a few years ago, and this school got all new faculty and staff. I think this is why some of the older posts talk about it being a bad school. The last 2 years at S.H. were great. The assistant principal is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet, but the kids still seem to respect her a lot (never really got to know the principal). I feel like my child is well prepared for middle school. Thank you SH Crowley! |
| 7/5/2012 | parent | This school has been very good for my child. In fact, we liked it well enough to stay in the district and have a go for the 6th grade year. The teachers are helpful, the office staff are kind and the principle is very approachable and eager to help. Most of the kids are friendly, but there are a few "bad eggs" that can make life difficult. Any time we have had to report more serious bad behavior, the staff has been very concerned and made immediate responses. There were no serious incidents to speak of and I think the police only had to come out once in a whole year. There is a lot of racial diversity, but the kids seem to get along fine. This school, as any school, is not perfect. There are challenges to overcome with parent pickup as it is a little hectic with no cross walks and Fort Worth police patrols are non-existent, but thank God for the Crowley motorcycle cop that patrols their side of McCart. Fort Worth is slow to respond to the crosswalk issue, but the principle is doing what he can to help keep the kids safe. |
| 4/7/2011 | parent | The other review below me is totally right. When my child went there he wasn't challenged at all. The assiant principle was way more concerned about the dress code than anything elese from what my son says. The bullying there is out of control! The teachers try to strop it but it dosen't work. I wass so exicited to get my son out of the disfunctional school Good ridence S.H crowley |
| 2/2/2010 | parent | The bullying at this school is out of control. I will say, however, that the staff is very concerned about getting it under control, including the principal. This school does not challenge my child at all, and I can not wait to move out of the district. They care more about the dress code than learning, and it is getting worse as the school year goes on. |
