| 8/16/2007 | parent | My son was accepted to Charter with the help of a close friend and Mr. Lapic's caring heart! Our family had just experienced a traumatic event which effected him on a personal level, and he starting having problems with his grades @ Longview High School. Charter School turned his life around!!! He excelled in all classes, received academic excellence on this TAKS testing his junior year, and completed all courses. The teachers and staff are one on one with each student, and unlike being in a bigger school they sincerely care about their students. A student at a bigger school is lucky if they can interact with one teacher on this level verses all your teachers! For anyone who questions Charter's ability as a school, talk to a student who is currently attending or has graduated from this school on their experience--it's life changing! Rose Unruh |
| 8/11/2007 | student | I went to Charter after being kicked out of Hallsville, and Charter made my life easier...I finished classes faster, working at my own pace, and I was able to still maintain a full time job so I could support myself. It was the best educational experience that I have had, and I have referred several parents of children I know that are struggling. ETCHS is a caring environment where students can achieve their goals, and have the support of the staff, always there with a smile and a helping hand. |
| 12/15/2005 | former student | Dan Chadwick Campus (East Texas Charter High School)Is the best thing that has ever happened to me. If it weren'f for the school, the teachers, and the wonderful principal, Mr. Lapic, I would no longer be in school. I'd be one of those drop outs that never got no where in life. Everything here is wonderful. The best thing is we all get individual help and we all are treated equally. This schools is highly suggested to me. |
| 11/24/2005 | teacher | Great staff that cares about students, much smaller student to teacher ratios than the other high schools in the area. |
| 8/8/2004 | former student | I attended this school after being in a car wreck. I was unable to attend a school that required a 7 hour day, and Dan Chadwick really worked with me and my doctors. Also, I was able to do things in a self paced manor, so I was able to graduate faster than I would have at my previous school. I highly recommend this school, Mr. Chadwick is a very caring and understanding man who truly wants to help students graduate high school. |
