3/30/2012parentWe were so lucky to get in to Reagan Academy through the lottery system! My oldest started as a kindergartener and immediately I was excited to see his progress in reading as well as the other subjects! He comes home telling me all that they learned that day...many things I didn't remember learning growing up...and I love seeing his excitement! The teachers we've had thus far are fabulous and I just adore the staff! We have not had any issues and all I can do is say thank you for the amazing people who work there and care for our children! I even joined the Parent Volunteer Organization and I'm so glad to be a part of it! Hearing my families' experiences with their PTA makes me so grateful for the parents who are willing to volunteer throughout the year. The PVO puts on many great activities that give the students a chance to grow and show their many talents and abilities and get them motivated to succeed. I cannot say how much I love the learning structure of Reagan, and I'm assuming other charter schools! The structure is how "No Child Left Behind" SHOULD work! I LOVE REAGAN ACADEMY!
3/7/2012parentMy family loves Reagan Academy. Two of my children attend there (1st and 2nd grade now) and each of their teachers, from the start, have been top-notch. The teachers care and are very good. The communication from teachers to parents is great. The leveling system is great. I have no complaints -- only praise.
9/16/2011parent This is our 3rd year at Reagan and I love the atmosphere! You can feel the difference just walking into the school. I love that the kids wear uniforms and it just seems that behavior of other students, is not a problem that keeps the other students from having a great experience. The staff and director are always around to answer questions, and I love that all students can learn on their own levels. The students change rooms for Math and Reading according to their individual levels. E-mail communication is used as the primary communications and all scores/ tests are on their website for parents to easily see. Love our experience so far, so glad we made the lottery!
10/27/2010parentMy daughter (first grade) told me several times that her teacher yelled so much in the class that she is not comfortable going to the class. I brought it up to the principle. It took about 2weeks, but they were able to move her to the different class room.
8/27/2010parentI have had experience with three charter schools in the last 9 years. I have been heavily involved in educational politics for even longer. My children go to Reagan Academy because it helps them achieve their highest potential through inspiration and a positive atmosphere rather than militant discipline. I love it because it balances the charter school rigor with the positive aspects of a public school feel. Reagan Academy in Springville is the best charter school in the state.
2/1/2010parentI have three kids that attend Reagan Academy and I have found both the atmosphere and the curriculum to be top notch. I feel that the administration are easy to talk to and that they care and the teachers are willing to partner with me to help my children succeed.
6/2/2009parentBoth of my children attend Reagan Academy. I find the discipline lacking. The children are disrespectful and not held to the high standard I expect from this school. I have brought several problems to the attention of the principal only to be ignored. I hope that these issues will be addressed and discipline will become a high priority.
2/16/2008parentBoth of my children attended Reagan and we found it to be one of the best experiences of their educational careers. We recently moved out of state and there is nothing in the state of Indiana that compares with the genuine care and inspiration my children felt and received at Reagan. My children have actually mourned the loss. It is a fabulous school. If you care about your children at all, you should sign up for the lottery.
2/16/2008studentI attend Reagan Academy and think it is one of the best choices I have ever made to attend! I have learned a lot more at Reagan Academy then I did when I was attending a public school. The teaching program is wonderful! And all of our teachers are AWESOME!
11/5/2007parentI love Reagan Academy for my son. He has some attention issues and reading challenges, but he is testing at or above grade level in all subjects, due to the great curriculum and great teachers!
