Arlington, Virginia is home to some of the highest rated schools in the country. According to U.S. News & World Report, Arlington Public Schools are ranked among the best in the nation, with seven schools receiving gold medals for excellence. The district has a wide variety of options for students, offering programs in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses, as well as special education services and technical programs. In addition to public schools, Arlington also has several private or parochial schools that offer students an alternative educational experience. These include faith-based learning as well as opportunities for enrichment and special needs support.
