2/2/2011parentBoth of my children have excelled academically and socially at LHS. The changes made by the new principal last year are definitely for the best. I would recommend LHS to anyone who has a child that wants to learn!
11/17/2010studentAs a student at Lee High, I see most everything that goes on around school. It's not a bad school, but classes that have an SOL are the bad thing about it. Not that I don't want to take SOLs, but telling teachers exactly what they must teach takes away from the learning experience, at least it's like that in my experience. There isn't a huge amount of bullying, but it exists, like any other school. The majority of teachers here are great and very dedicated to their students. Especially a certain 10th grade Honors English teacher that also teaches 11th.
2/24/2009studentI think that this school is what you make of it.. put forth some effort and you might get somewhere in life!!
2/2/2009studentLee High School is a pretty good school when it comes to academics. The football team is pretty bad due to bad coaching but not everything can be perfect. The teachers here teach the required SOL requirements pretty good. The disciplinary system could use some fine tuning. We have a pretty good variety of sports. Overall, it's an okay school.
1/16/2009parentMy veiw of this school is its a good education teachers teach if kids listen they will get an A 1 education, I have went to the School on open house night and found the teachers very willing to talk to you, honestly parents need to be more involved in their lives of the children and not expect schools to do parents work . 5/18/2004parentMy experience with Lee High was poor - communication was very low. Had a student skipping classes and was not made aware of it by faculty. The absenteeism system is flawed, got a call they weren't there once and they were in classes all day. Also had to request teacher conference because of grades but did not have any follow up afterwards on how student was doing. The overall performance of school is poor, I don't feel it prepares students for further education properly.
