| 12/30/2010 | other | I love the school. bullying is troubling but the magnet program is awesome. as long as you find some one to hang with it is awesome especaily because their are tons of personalities there. After sixth grade you chose wether or not to take the special related arts class, marine science. Every other day you get to work on tanks and the other day you learn somthing about the envirment. If you like nature and don't mind getting dirty this is a great class for you. Also you have many oppertunities like 6th graders get to go observe marshes and test water, soil, and observe life. If you are good in school and have no behavior problems, in 7th-8th grade you can may get an oppertunity to go to port isabel which is an asome way to learn about your environment. It is and asome school and if you are a math fan you can take algebra in 7th grade if you aced avanced math in 6th. The teacher encourge you to rach out and try for your best. The school has strong leadership and tons of after school activities. some examples are achery, photography and many other clubs. |
| 11/29/2010 | parent | I love BTW. The PTA members genuinely work hard and care about the students. My daughter has never loved school so much. It's a pleasure to see her happy in her academics. And the principal is wonderful, too! |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | I love Booker T because it feels more like a community than other schools. THey do great things to engage this group of kids that are a generally hard group to reach and my son absolutely has a love of his school. |
