| 6/8/2012 | parent | Best private school in the area. High expectations and great results without any stress. Music, Latin, Spanish, French - all starting in pre-K. Great sports program as well. |
| 2/13/2012 | parent | We have been at this school for a couple of years now and both the kids and I adore this school. We are eternally grateful that we found this school when we did, it has been my children's saving grace. Yes I too have had struggles w/a teacher/former staff member (or two) but to say that this is the only school where this happens would be disingenuous. Tn the grand scheme of things the good aspects of the school overwhelmingly outweigh the bad...and believe me when you have been through hell and back as we have with the public school system it's easy to distinguish between a great school and a horrendous one. The class size (between 13-15 students per teacher ratio), the nurturing environment and outstanding academic curriculum makes this school a force to be reckoned with!! Wait until you see the end of the year performances-usually based on a literary classic (Last year each class performed a portion of Homers' Odyssey- depending on their grade) and the musicals! Don't my word for it, allow your child to spend a day in the classroom and hear what he/she has to say for yourself. You'll be amazed. |
| 2/1/2012 | parent | A great school with good teachers and excellent academic program. My 6-year old daughter is in the 1st grade and this is her first year at Edlin. She loves going to the school, and she likes her teachers very much. She enjoys all the classes, especially math, science, reading, PE, and computer. The only thing I wish the school would provide more is after school programs such as Yoga, drawing, sports etc. for lower grade students. |
| 1/8/2012 | parent | I completely agree with the comment about Ms.Buffo and I am sure there are several Edlin parents who share the same view about her. How ever much Edlin excels in many aspects, it certainly is in need of boosting the quality of some of its teachers. My fav - Ms.Young, 1st grade. Edlin needs more teachers like her. |
| 11/15/2011 | parent | My children have loved everything about Edlin for the past 3 years. So have I - my only gripe was a few years ago, with one K5 teacher, Ms.Buffo, with whom I was not impressed at all. |
| 11/13/2011 | parent | We're new to Edlin this year and couldn't be happier! The academics are very strong and my son has benefitted socially from being in a small, nurturing environment (max class size is 15). They do PE everyday! My child went from not wanting to go tot school to being the first one out the door in the mornings! |
| 9/25/2011 | parent | Love, love, love this school. Even better, the kids love this school. Very warm and nuturing. My child's first grade teacher was one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. I grew up in with educator parents and have very high expectations. They are met at this school. |
| 6/6/2011 | parent | We're thrilled with this little school. Warm teachers and administration, absolutely outstanding curriculum for the gifted student. Unlike the public school GT centers, this school is willing to level up your child if he or she would benefit from more challenge. |
| 1/24/2011 | parent | Accelerated, challenging curriculum in a supportive school environment Great small class size! PE daily Latin, French, Spanish starting at kindergarten! Music and drama also! |
| 5/19/2010 | parent | Love the school! Great cirriculum. My 3 year is learning LATIN. They have music, PE and recess in addition to Spanish or French taught almost daily. |
| 5/19/2010 | parent | Edlin leverages fantastic teaching methods to bring a child along at their pace. My son is already sounding out words and reading and he just turned 4. His social skills and interactions have developed exponentially since he has been at Edlin. The staff and teachers are so friendly and supportive. Everyone says hi and is extremely helpful in every way. Overall the school is absolutely fantastic and we would not go anywhere else. |
| 5/19/2010 | parent | When choosing a school for our daughter, my husband and I looked at over a dozen schools in the area. What we liked about Edlin was the happy sounds that we heard each time we visited. Our daughter has been there 5 years, and she is doing advanced academic work, scoring extremely well on national standardized tests, and smiling most of the time. We love that she is not only learning but also enjoying her day-to-day life. |
