| 10/31/2011 | student | I also graduated through the Forks Alternative School and like the previous reviewer I am grateful for my time at this school. Many of the kids I went to school with had jobs, or were raising children or came from families that did not provide them support but others of my fellow students were kids from a normal background. What matters is we were all good kids who just wanted an education and were willing to work for it. I worked, was living on my own and raising my niece, if it weren't for this school I would not have graduated and I am a very intelligent person. I am working towards my ECE degree now because I was inspired by my teachers at Forks Alternative. Because of teachers like Patty Vaughn students whom everyone else gave up on become valuable members of society. Don't let the prejudice that surrounds Alternative schools keep you from considering this school as a valuable educational opportunity. |
| 7/11/2009 | student | Although this was an small Alternative school where troubled teens were sent for their education, it was one of the best experiences of my life. The close nit student gave a family feel too it. Because of it's size students with a harder time could have one on one learning. I graduated from this school with a 3.0 gpa and I am now completing my second year in college. It's a wonderful experience for any kid who can not learn or feels uncomfortable in a large high school. |
