Sahuarita, Arizona is a small town located in the outskirts of Tucson. Politically, it is a part of Pima County and has an elected mayor, five council members, and several committees for citizens to become involved with their local government. The mayor is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of Sahuarita while the council members are elected to represent the interests of their respective districts. Additionally, there are various committees such as public safety, economic development, parks & recreation, and public works that oversee respective programs within Sahuarita.
