The city operates under a council-manager form of government which gives the people of Warrensburg the opportunity to have their voices heard through their local elected officials. The Mayor and six Council Members are all elected at-large for two year terms and serve as the legislative body of the City. Elections are held in April of odd numbered years and the Mayor and Council Members each take office on July 1st following their election. As part of their duties, they review policies, enact laws, set goals and objectives for city staff, approve budgets and expenditures, establish fees for services, and hold public meetings to discuss various issues facing residents of Warrensburg.

Warrensburg is a college town in the middle of a lot of farming areas. I do not drink much, but I like to joke that the only things to do in Warrensburg are to go to  More
