Vandalia, OH is a city located in Montgomery County. The city has a mayor-council form of government and the current mayor is Arlene Setzer. The mayor and council members are elected by the citizens of Vandalia every four years. The council consists of seven members who represent different parts of the community. Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday each month at 7:00 p.m., and give residents an opportunity to express their opinions and bring up matters for discussion or decision making. Over the past few years, the political landscape in Vandalia has remained relatively stable with very few changes as far as local representatives go. Despite this stability, there are still many active political conversations happening in town halls, churches, homes, and other public forums throughout the year as citizens work to make sure their voices are heard when it comes to important decisions within their community.
