Cookeville, TN is a vibrant and exciting city located in the northern Middle Tennessee region. The population of Cookeville is approximately 32,000 people and it's located close to popular tourist attractions such as Cummins Falls State Park and Burgess Falls State Park. Cookeville has a long history of active politics which continues today. The city has a legislative body that consists of seven members who are elected at large for four year terms. Each November, the citizens are asked to cast their ballots to elect representatives from their ward or district. In addition, Cookeville residents go to the polls every second Tuesday in August and November to choose mayors, state representatives, county commissioners, judges, city council members, school board directors and other local government officials. Voters also determine referendums on proposed tax increases or changes in other local policies that can have an impact on their daily lives. With so many important decisions being made each year by its citizens, Cookeville has an active community spirit when it comes to politics and public service.

Been here for 4-5 years now, crime is on the rise and pay is stagnant, don't look for much over 28k a year in gross income here. Lots of areas are getting metro  More
