Rockwall, TX is a city located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Texas. It has a rich history of community involvement and is home to an incredibly engaged citizenry who are passionate about their local politics. The current mayor of Rockwall is Jim Pruitt, who was elected in 2017 and serves as the City Council’s President. The City Council consists of eight members who are elected by the citizens of Rockwall. These officials work hard to make sure that all residents have a voice in local government and to ensure that the city’s best interests are met. In addition to the Mayor and City Council, Rockwall has several other political entities which include the Board of Adjustment, Planning & Zoning Commission, Historic Preservation Board and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Board. All these boards meet regularly to discuss activities related to zoning ordinances, community development projects, budgeting decisions and much more. Through its many avenues of political engagement, Rockwall is able to keep its citizens informed and involved in all aspects of their local government.

R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
