Small & Charming - 9/19/2020
I've lived in Avalon since high school and I never want to leave! It's small, charming, and I've made some amazing friends here. Avalon is also close enough to the city for me to travel there on weekends with my daughter. I think your summary of the commuting situation in Avalon is rather misleading. The entire city is only about a mile in diameter. About half of the folks here "commute" by walking for a few minutes. If the average time it takes is eleven minutes it's because you stopped a few times to chat with someone on the way. It's often faster to walk somewhere than to drive because there is limited parking parking. You don't even mention that most people use golf carts and not actual automobiles here.
