Beautiful fresh water lakes and rivers, amazing wild life (herds of deer, turkey, fox, jack rabbits....), vast starry skies at night, very peaceful, extremely safe, great place for serious biking, hiking trails around the lake, friendly earthy people, not too far from the scenic mountains and major cities, and affordable housing...especially for California.
