Affluent But... - 12/15/2015
Villa Park, CA is a beautiful area with most of the homes on 1/2 acre lots. In Southern California, a half acre ios huge! Large homes with large (3-4 car) garages.
Villa Park is only 3 square miles and is a bedroom community with one small shopping center with groceries, salon, dry cleaners, restaurant, and a few other businesses. There are a few different areas that vary in "mood". We life in the Serrano Heights area. No street lights, quiet with very little activity. Most of our immediate neighbors are either retired or close. The area is turning over and families with school aged children are moving in. Which brings up the schools.
Schools - My experience with the public schools was anything but positive. Villa Park is part of the OUSD. The schools in Villa Park (2 elementary, 1 middle, and 1 high school) serve the kids in Villa Park and Orange. The socio-economic mix is the widest possible.
