Newtown a nice place to live - 6/6/2019
Lived here for 32 years. New community/senior center just built looks promising. Swimming pool and lake swimming. Community center will also have swimming. 3 grocery stores but for best prices and variety go to Shop Rite in Brookfield, CtGood school system but extremely high taxes. Many restaurants now. Two seasonal ice cream places. A mostly safe place to live.My kids hated it as they grew older.Am a senior and recently retired senior center people very welcoming .Grocery prices higher than surrounding communities.Not as cold as it used to be in the winter. Have had no below zero temp in recent years. Not much catastrophic weather but do have power outages because of falling trees.Overall close to many cities for cultural events and about 35 minutes away from beaches in other Read More
