Traffic - 3/22/2016
Traffic congestion has increased over the past 20 years to the point that it can take several minutes to make a turn onto any street during busy times of the day. At one time driving the back roads could avoid local traffic yet that is no longer the case.

Great place to live, if you can afford it! - 8/1/2009
I've lived in Manalapan for over 20 years. I've raised 2 children here. It was a great place to raise a family. The schools are decent and we have a high number of kids going to college. If your a teacher, the teacher pay is good too.

We are about 60 minutes from Manhattan. Most of the families that live here have one family member working in Manhattan. You can get there by bus or you can take your car to the train.

Is it affordable? No. Before the housing crash, the housing $$ were way out of control. The property tax rate is rediculous. The state income tax is nuts.
If you want to move here be prepared to spend lots of cash. Taxes and housing are the biggest drains on your income. Food and clothing are also expensive.
