Sure, we occasionally have some bad weather and the tax/utility costs are excessive, but overall, we get a lot for our total cost of living. With the cities of Buffalo and Niagara Falls (U.S. & Canada) nearby, we have excellent cultural resources. The many colleges and universities also contribute to the wide variety and high quality. Amherst is less than 10 miles from Lake Erie and the Niagara River and less than 15 miles from Lake Ontario for unparalleled summer recreation opportunities. Lets not forget 8hrs away from NY City, also were not that far from ohio. The only catch is you have to love the snow!
