University - with a community wrapped around it - 10/28/2009
Buies Creek is an unincorporated, one stoplight town (literally) with two championship golf courses and a university. Campbell University has graduate schools in education, pharmacy, business, and law and is a liberal arts school.

The nearest hospital (small) is 10 miles away, but major medical centers at Duke and UNC as well as Raleigh are within an hour's drive.
