Cabin with a wood burning stove. This is heaven. - 1/15/2022
Cullowhee NC is such a beautiful place to visit. People are super nice . I stayed in a cabin on the side of a mountain by myself. It was absolutely wonderful. It had snowed maybe 4 inches. The cabin had a wood burning fireplace, absolute heaven . Living in Myrtle Beach for so long, the peaceful feeling of the mountains makes you feel amazing. I have to go back. Read More

Beauty Overshadowed By Greed! - 8/5/2018
A truly beautiful place to live. I have lived here off & on for 26 years, and have seen a great many changes surrounding the university. Unfortunately, WCU and it's greedy faculty members have helped drive the cost of living through the roof. When a one bedroom roach infested apartment starts between $500 - $600, that's a serious problem. Cullowhee is becoming nothing but student housing for the wealthy. No honest, hard working student could afford these prices while attending school. What used to be affordable is not anymore. The bad thing is too, once somebody here charges $500 a month and gets it, they all seem to start making $500 the norm.
