Tip of the spear town to the Triad! - 5/4/2022
I've have been in Lexington for about five years now. I am a military guy that is been around the world. I grew up nearby in Salisbury North Carolina which unfortunately has too much of the bad element type of people. I have to say I am proud of now live in Lexington North Carolina. We are known for the barbecue capital for pig that is pit cooked. So you will definitely find that here. As with any southern town it is what you make it. Getting involved with the local churches they are very accommodating and that is the way to go in the south if you want to get to know people in your neighborhood. Also get involved with voting get to know your local police force, they will tell you the better places to live and political representatives. Also if you like laid-back and Andy Griffith type of places this one should be one on your list. I feel it's a great place to raise families as long as you stay in the neighborhoods that are known to be safe. As with every southern town there's always a Read More

Horrible place - 12/9/2019
The most criminal place ever. Police do nothing to and don't clean it up. Police here need to be investigated by fbi or something it's dirty and I like cops but something is not right here. School systems are awful no help even if you bug then write letter to school boared show them autism documents from medical they don't care here. People are very rude here and theirs slot of drug activity here also even I think by police something o someone needs to clean it up. I don't fit in here I don't use drugs and I'm not rude so I don't fit in here to top it off school personal said I was a minority. Okay . I'm single mother of four boys and my kids I take care of them how I should not like people around here it is so sad here I see way to much I'm planing on moving soon. People wouldn't get away with the things they do in other cities this is worst of the worst I have not seen any good food here at all either. I can't live here forever this is a stressful environment I'm glad when I have Read More

Don't count this town out! - 11/27/2017
I Have grown up in this town and now run a business here. There has been massive improvements in the past few years. The cost of living here is low and we are close to Winston Salem, Greensboro, and High Point. We close the town down several times a year and have events: which builds community involvement with each other. The parks are good and an extensive green way is in the works. It's not perfect, but is improving. I love this town. ThadRead More

Lexington NC SUCKS!!!! - 7/25/2017
I have lived in Lexington NC entirely too long. To live in the city, the taxes are ridiculous for the services that you receive. You WILL be threatened with a fine for everything you do or don't do. The job market is awful unless you want to cook "home cooking," bbq, Mexican cuisine or Chinese take out. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do in this uneducated, boring town. Unless you aspire to build furniture from pressed wood, I would not seek to live here. Our great "claim to fame" are the "Pigs in the City." Overpaid local "artists" created pigs that are scattered throughout town. You actually get a map as to there location if you so choose. WOW!! Now that's my idea of excitement....NOT! You can also go to "the Walmarts" and see the classiest people Lexington has to offered. If your hope is to get fat and live with some of the most uneducated, hypocritical, racist human beings on earth, then please, feel free to locate yourself in the "fine" city of Lexington. Seriously people, run, Read More

Asians in Lexington, North Carolina - 1/20/2015
All comments are retarded.
I am from Thailand, totally Asian. Not Asian:-):-~American. Im just Asian.
Lived in Charlotte for 4 Months, now moved to Lexington 1 hour away from Charlotte.
I think you just need to be in the right crowd,
Some look down on Asians, some just don't and some are being very respectful to Asian. It.depends on how you carry yourself towards those white people as well. Read More

This place is awful - 2/7/2007
The Jobs have left the town and the crime rate has skyrocketed because of poverty. To top it all off the legal system has turned into Lexingtons main source of business. Nothing to do at night and the drugs flow like a river. This town is going downhill fast. I dont know why you would think of moving here but dont and if you already have then Im Read More
