You would be better off living in an active toilet - 9/14/2020
Moved to Monroe approx 6 years ago. It has been one excuse after the other for the high incidence of assault and battery as well as property crime.

The mayor and city council have no interest in anything but zoning more homes and the resulting traffic.

Quality of life is the worst I have ever encountered in my 50 years of living in large city's and small towns.

Monroe is also the seat of the KKK that flourished back in the day. There are countless offspring from this mindset running loose even today.

The city leadership denounces those who stand up for right and wrong as well as refuses to act to stop those who abuse their dogs and other creatures.

If you care about dignity and have any respect for yourself you will consider areas not living to restore the Confederate States of America.

Historical District in Monroe NC - 6/25/2019
I have lived in Monroe since 2015. I have been welcomed by my neighbors and the community. Monroe is rapidly growning. The downtown area is family friendly and has added many new restaurant. The community is quiet. There is a community garden for those interested in gardening for fresh vegetables. The Historical district has seen a lot of home improvements and a great since of pride in home ownership. I feel safe in my community the police have a active presents and I like that. Read More
