High Property Taxes - 8/2/2009
I have lived in Willoughby Hills, Ohio for the last 5 years with my wife and three children. We picked this location to build a house because of the rural attributes. The motto is 'Where the City Meets the Country,' and it lives up to that. Although we love the space and land, the property taxes are way too high, and doesn't even include trash pick up services. Our kids are homeschooled so it has become more annoying that a large part of the taxes go to schools our kids don't attend. We understand that but the schools are actually not in Willoughby Hills, but in neighboring Willoughby/Eastlake!

Although we have enjoyed the dream house we built, we are now looking to relocate mainly due to growing tired of the cold weather here. The whole family deals with allergies & asthma and we are seeking a better location for these reasons.

On the pro side, it is a nice city to live in and due to the 1 acre min, your neighbors aren't 2 feet from your windows. We Read More
