Pleasant place to live - 8/24/2008
Pendleton Oregon, pop. 16K has an Arts Center, Historical Center Museum, Native Cultural Museum, Woolen Mill, Underground tours, annual Rodeo attracting 80,000 visitors. Good schools, quiet neighborhoods, a water park and a children's museum make it a nice place to raise a family. We have a hospital and a community college. We border the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation which contributes positively to the economy and culture of the region. Do your errands without traffic or parking issues - everything from the county offices, social security office, groceries, post office, library - all within 5 minutes or less of each other. Get used to being greeted in the stores by friendly helpful faces who care about your business. Large volunteer force contributes to the quality of life for Pendleton residents.
