Ashland City, TN is a small town located in Cheatham County with a population of about 5,000 people. A hidden gen with beauty and serenity - 7/10/2017
Ashland City is only 25 scenic miles from Nashville on Highway 12 that winds through hills and valleys along Cumberland River. It's not an interstate, thus it does not have traffic jam. Despite its small size, Ashland City has three grocery stores (Food Lion, Cash Saver, and Walmart), a handful of fast food joints (McDonald, Sonic, Pizza Hut) and a dozen or so restaurants. It even has a hospital for emergency care.

Housing is very affordable. For $35k, you can get a half-acre lot in Maple Hills subdivision. If you don't mind hilly terrain, consider the custom home subdivision Hidden Lakes Resort. For the same price, you can get an acre-lot covered with trees. Hidden Lakes has underground utilities, city water, sewer, two lakes, and hiking trails.
