Marfa, TX is a small town located in the state of Texas. It has a unique culture that has made it a popular tourist destination. Nice, quiet, and really, really off the beaten pat - 5/6/2014
Liven in the area back in the 80s. Visited in 2008. The town has changed some. It's always been a nice, quiet, friendly town.

It is really way out there, though. Long way from any significant city. (El Paso, TX. About 230 miles.

There has been an influx of artist types in the last 30 years, and their influence is noticeable. There are art galleries, and other culture type things.

Several film stars have moved in, and have driven prices up in the real estate market.

The airport is really good, but you'll have to have your own plane. (I did).
