Pampa, not Tampa. - 6/25/2006
Pampa, not Tampa.

Culture and Recreation & Housing: I grew up in Pampa, but I've also lived in other places lately including North Carolina, Lubbock, and Canyon. To me Pampa is just the right size. I like to bike and this small town has a one-of-a-kind park system that is interconnected throughout town. Plus if you're up for making your own entertainment there are many parks of all sizes, some secluded, some on the beaten path, where you can recreate with the family and friends. There is little to do as far as nightlife, but the town is really quiet the housing prices are about 24% of the national average (very affordable) and there are many empty houses available. I feel this is a nice town for families, especially with younger kids who don’t seek a nightlife and is also great for retirees.

Education: I suspect that the school district is not as good as most, but if you White Deer is 15 miles away and is reported to have an excellent school district.  Read More
