Not Worth the Price or the Pain - 5/9/2019
I am 65. I was born here and spent most of my life here. Don't bother! It wasn't always this way. But city government is a joke.....except when they have their hand out. Crime is rising, schools are failing. Housing is overpriced and there is no diverse economic base. Its nowhere I want to be and I'd advise the same. Go to Layton or Kaysville or beyond. If you like small towns, this is the place for you, there is plenty of work, the growth here in the city is off the charts. On the other hand, if you are looking for entertaiment not much, your basic movies, malls, that's it.
As far as the people, a good 80% are very kind, very family oriented, daycares and schools are great, nice quiet neighbourhoods, very few drivers with boomboxes. As far as transportation... the city is working on it, my average drive time from Clearfield to Salt lake city is 40 min. in heavy traffic, but very soon the commuter rail will make transportation so much Read More
