I Love Orem! - 1/21/2022
I would like to take a second and give some compliments were compliments are deserved. There is often so little time to simple recognize the good that people do. In a world of contention, fear, and anger it would do us well to count our blessings and see what we have.

I love Orem! I love the people that have helped it become what and who it is.

At a municipal level, I'm grateful for former Mayors, commissioners, council members, and city staff that through years of service, employment, planning, and implementation have brought so many opportunities to our city. From revitalizing University Mall, helping make UVX a reality, creating places to enjoy like the Nielsen Grove Park and All Together Play Ground, being the home of UVU - one of the top schools in the State, watching a temple go up in our back yard, to planning for our future by working hard today.

I personally think that the staff of Orem City are some of the finest people in the world. Read More

Beautiful, friendly and endless outdoor options - 9/24/2021
The closeness to the mountains, many parks and trails make this place such a beautiful area to be in. The people are so friendly. The food options are so diverse and tasty. I recommend beanies 2 go for coffee, the Argentinian restaurant connected to Midtown 360 and the SCERA center for their pools and theatrical events. Squaw Peak is a great hike close to us and the Provo river trail is a long beautiful trail great for running or biking. Read More

Who needs a car here? - 6/26/2013
No one needs a car in orem, even though having one is nice, but if you live here you know what I am talking about. Bus routes are many and often. For a small fee every time, or you can by a monthly pass, you can ride the buses anywhere in the Read More

Orem is a very family friendly area to live. Has great resources for our son with Special Needs but he finds the harsh winters and warm summers (several days over 100 degrees this year) to be very Read More

AWESOME PLACE IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY OR IF YOU ARE S - 5/7/2009
Been living in Orem for about 20 YEARS! I love it here! Lived in Houston, Texas and had to move out because the crime was insane! When I came to Orem, I was in heaven! Yes, HEAVEN ON EARTH! I now have 5 children and wouldn't mind having 5 more! (I am NOT on wellfare or take advantage of the government...by the way!) Love it here except the winter time! I take my winters traveling in South America! I love it here because there are people from different parts of the world, and since it's a small (unlike Houston) town you get to meet people from around the world! I have had a very good experience here in Orem. The cops can be real pigs, but oh well life can't be perfect either. I have learned much and appreciate the opportunity to live in this wonderfull Read More

I love the climate in Orem. It's wonderful. I love to enjoy all four seasons. It can get a little hot for a couple months in the summer, but nights usually cool down nicely and the mountains are always close if you want to cool off. Winters are not bad. You get a few good snow storms, but nothing major. It gets cold, but it's a dry cold and not bad at all. Spring and Fall are perfect. It feels so Read More

Hot and Cold - 8/30/2007
Orem is a beautiful place to live, with lots to do and high quality of living. My one complaint however, would be the extremes in temperature during the Summer and long Winter. I've seen it as high as 110 in the summer and as low as -20 in the winter. These extremes make certain days nearly unbearable to be Read More
