Don't blink driving down main road small but beaut - 6/12/2022
I've lived in north Woodinville for over 35 years in Snohomish County yet most of Woodinville is in King County 5 min from my house.
There is about 6 churches
5 minutes from my house in every direction.
While I read Woodinvilles very liberal is not exactly true except in King County.
The churches are packed every weekend and many here do not support the left wing ideology.
There is a lot of pushback believe me
Northshore school district is pretty much a Democrat training center.
Family friendly parks pretty safe,
The climate of course is wet but when nice it's beautiful
Allergies are not good here, I live on acre and half. Allergies so bad I've looked at moving.
Outdoor burning isn't legal now so burning has subsided but some do out here in the woods
Shopping is close.
Costco my fav
Beautiful new downtown apartments with lighted trees so pretty.
Great ballpark
Pretty safe skate parkRead More

woke to their nightmare - 11/1/2021
I've lived here, on Cottage Lake, since 1978. It was just a little town then, sparsely populated but growing faster, probably each year, as folks disenchanted with their move to California moved north, creating the same conditions that ruined that state. I grew up there and saw it all happen there just like here. Anywhere that becomes increasingly populated with shallow thinking liberals decreases all aspects of the quality of life. They mean well. Seattle has deteriorated under left-wing governance and is spreading like a cancer to the suburbs and more rural communities. Until stringent measures are taken to help the homeless, all will continue to worsen. Thank God there are still relatively less populated and greener places to live in America but the problems will spread and worsen until we find ways to help those who need it the most without hurting the rest of us.  Read More

Bad Air - 10/28/2015
Living here in the wooded town of Woodinville is nice until it starts to get a little chilly and many residents start to burn wood recreationally in their fireplaces. This is a wealthy area so they don't burn it out of necessity which is a poor excuse anyway since these people are polluting my only source of fresh air. It is horrible my friends kids have asthma and they cannot go outside plus their asthma flares just from leaving their car going into or out of their home. Firewood smoke is dangerous and contains over 100 different poisons that cause cancer!! What is wrong with these selfish people??? It is a lovely area but for most of the year they ruin the air for all of us. It should be called Woodburnville or Read More

Rural Woodinville - 1/18/2014
Love living in rural Cottage Lake are of Woodinville (N.E.) We have a colder, rainier weather system here than nearby Redmond or Bellevue however. When it snows, we get much more and when it storms we get more of that too. Having a generator is a must as we loose power quite frequently in the winter (heavily treed area). Avondale Rd. is still too busy in the morning as we get quite a bit of traffic onto it close to the 520 interchange from Novelty Hill Road as many people are moving into the Redmond Ridge area, and traffic coming off the hill is still obstructive even after the county reconfigured Novelty.
Downtown Woodinville is a cute town with many options for shopping but lacks good grocery stores. The QFC closed last year so now your options are Top Foods or Albertsons only. No Whole Foods, or Trader Joes. I would love the QFC to return. We love living here, lots of large lots (ours is 3 acres) property values do reflect that however, but still not so high we have Read More

Woodinville is absolutely a wonderful place to liv - 7/25/2012
Recently moving here to Woodinville from Southern California has been alleviating experience to say the least, the people are SO FRIENDLY and the community has a superb blend of an abundance of nature and modern conveniences that make Woodinville a top notch place to relocate to. It's close to Bellevue, Redmond, and Bothell, each of which are excellent towns/cities to live. Woodinville and Bothell in particular have extremely low crime and commuting is fairly fast. The only serious issues are that during the winter, there are the hazards of icy roads and snow days for the schools (Woodinville High School is ranked 20th in the state). All and all, Woodinville is fantastic, but also a tad expensive because the Pacific Northwest generally has low crime, very friendly people, and a moderately cool climate during the summer. Read More

We flatlanders love to visit wineries in Woodinvil - 7/4/2010
We live in Dallas, Texas, in the heart of the flatlands. On our frequent visits to the Puget Sound area, we always do the wine tastings at the Woodinville winery district and always, always make the high quality family owned Facelli Winery our first stop.

Our friends who have asked us the best places to see in the Puget Sound area have all told us that they love the warm reception that they receive from Sandy Facelli.

Let's keep this great family winery our own secret, as the last thing that we would want to happen would be for everyone to find out how great their wine is and then they would grow to be a monster like Ernest & Julio Gallo, and their monstrosity of an impersonal industrialized entity with everything becoming generic and quantity driven.

So shhhhhh, let's keep this quiet.
