I once loved it now I hate it! - 11/10/2021
I have lived in Chino my whole life, and planned on retiring here one day, until about 10 years ago. Boy did this city change almost overnight. It used to be a safe, beautiful, peaceful city where everyone knew each other. It was mostly Dutch, Portuguese, and Hispanic dairymen, and workers. That was when the dairy farms were still around, but once they kicked them and the cows out they started popping up warehouses, industrial buildings, and houses everywhere. The city has become so crowded, and there is a lot of theft, drugs, gang violence, and crime now. It’s so sad that this once beautiful city has been tarnished so bad that I’m selling my house and getting out of here. I used to think that I had the best of everything because Chino is 45 mins from the beach, the mountains, the desert, and the weather used to be so nice. Unfortunately now it’s about an hour and a half from everywhere because traffic is so bad, and the weather is so hot here all year round. Even in the winter time Read More

Ghetto - 7/16/2017
Chino is absolutely ghetto. I've lived here for just over 1 year and I can't wait to leave. My house was broken into twice WHILE I WAS SLEEPING. Police took 10 minutes to arrive. A month later my car was keyed while parked in my own damn driveway. Kids walk by and throw trash thrown into my driveway. Police presence sucks. Chino is the worst city I've lived in by far.

I would probably have less problems living in Pomona or Compton. Read More

We have lived in Chino for the past 24 years and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Chino is a small town compared to Los Angeles but it has everything you need.

Hot, rude, paved to death - 8/26/2010
I lived in Chino for 5 long years. Some people might consider 100-plus degrees and the worst air quality in the entire country to be their cup of tea. I felt otherwise. This is a polluted, overcrowded, stinky, unhealthy place to be, especially to raise kids. The only redeeming thing about it is that there is tons and tons and tons of shopping. Literally every available square foot has a shop on it. I would prefer trees.

Chino's Climate Is Great - 8/26/2007
The climate we enjoy in Southern California is absolutely wonderful. Although we have high heat in the summertime, the humidity is low enough so that we don’t bake. The rainfall is usually predictable in the fall and the overall amounts are minimal. There is always a give and take so I will take the massive amounts of sunshine Read More
