I lived there. Hawthorne is a ___hole. Crime, Drugs, Unemployment near 12% and, they can pay the police enough to stay and deal with all the crap! It has to be one of the worst places in and around LA to live.
An employer would have to offer you a salary of 400K just to consider living there. Why? First you would have to hire your own body guards. Second the taxes will kill you and third, you would be a mark for every cartel wannabe since you were doing better than the rest of the masses. I wouldn't recomend anyone raise children here. The weather is about as mild as anywhere in the world, but the area is a little too rough for most normal people. There are some nice looking neighborhoods down some streets but for the most part I don't think its worth the cost to live
