I like it. - 3/11/2020
I grew up In Santa Monica, and have lived in England, the Bay Area, and the Midwest, and back to Santa Monica.
I love it here as it reminds me of LA as it was about thirty years ago. People are polite and laid back, the weather is lovely—not too hot, and I feel safe here. I am very grateful to live here, and I hope that it stays like this for a long Read More

A breath of fresh air - 11/6/2017
What can I say, I love everything about Redondo Beach. I’m also proud that I was born here. It’s just coincidence that my boyfriend and I both lived there as children, yet didn’t meet till we had moved away as adults. We love going back frequently for visits. There is always something wonderful to do. The smell of the ocean greats us before we get a glimps of the sea. We are always so excited to pack the truck and go. I love the art scene, food , and the people. Lets face it, the ocean is stunning.
Our dogs love the dog park. Everyone we meet is so friendly. It must be the Ocean air. Or could it just be that Redondo Beach is truly the wind that we need in our sales, to rejuvenate.
I love Redondo’s history. As well as its many beautiful parks.
Meandering down PCH is wonderful. Or just take a nap in the soft warm sand. It’s truly a slice of heaven on earth. Thank you Redondo Beach. You will allways be our Read More

living in Redondo Beach CA - 1/27/2015
I am a 30 year resident of Redondo Beach and thus have spent a considerable amount of time of my life here. When I first came to live in Redondo Beach in 1985 the population was about 20% less than what it is now. It was a somewhat laid back community with a distinct character of its own. Initially there was a fair amount of manufacturing in Redondo Beach, primarily in the aerospace sector. Since the 1990's much of it has disappeared or relocated elsewhere, whereas the sites once occupied by these business have been converted to urban sprawl and shopping. A typical home in Redondo Beach in the mid 1980's cost around $ 110 to $ 150 - by the early 1990's this has doubled and since that quadrupled and in some cases even quintupled. Although I am the longest continuous living resident (25 years in the same house) on the block I live, I am surrounded by strangers. Lots of people have moved in, a lot of foreigners - Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese, Turks, Russians etc. whereas the once Read More
