santa fe springs is awful - 4/22/2007
santa fe springs used to be a good place to live, but those days are long gone. crime is on the upswing. (whittier police dept. is contracted to s.f.s.)
police protection is nearly non existant. they cruise through our neighborhoods but never get out of their cars.
a former retired police officer expained the situation, officers get paid whether they do their jobs or not.
basic city ordinances are rarely to never inforced. things like parking accross sidewalks, blocking driveway access, double parking, illegal fireworks, visible junk vehicles, lapsed vehicle registration, graffitti, noise pollution, hazardous waste dumped in the gutters (oil, radiator antifreeze, etc.) multiple vehicles parked on the street 24/7, visible garbage cans, frontyard debris, unkept lawns, permit inforcement (roof, fence, driveway, etc.) senior citizen Read More

City of Santa Fe Springs - 12/27/2005

Largely Industrial City, Great Place to live the city has a lot to offer it's residents, called the City of the Parks, Many city sponsored events, free concerts, Christmas programs, Great resources, Library , Great Schools, City run Day Care programs, all residents eligible for 20 percent rebate program for home improvements regardless of income, Beautiful Aquatic Center and City sponsored classes for children and Adults, i.e. aerobics , dance, crafts, music etc. several Senior Citizen Centers ,dances,trips lunch etc. overall the City has a very small resident population
mostly smaller tract housing circa 1950's going through a re gentrification of sorts average single family home price $500,00 . Great Freeway access, 20 min's from Los Angeles and/or Orange Read More
