I,myself, do not care for Trinidad because of the lack of things to do,it's run down appearance, and the surrounding area of open plains. My husband and I have been looking to purchase a home for the past couple of years in the Trinidad, Colorado area. It seems as though the cost of housing is skyrocketing in this area. Rent averages around $800 a month and it is quite difficult to find a home to purchase under $150,000. Unfortunately, the wages in this area are not comparable to the cost of housing unless you are employed by one of the companies that work in the gas drilling field.
