It's a legend in its own mind. - 10/1/2020
Living here is like Paton Place. Also like Desperate Housewives or 90210. In the words its a terrible place to live. It's made up of predominantly New Yorkers and their attitudes. Rude would be putting it mildly. Real Estate is overpriced and it's junk. Go live in Winter Park, Florida, it's paradise. Read More

South Florida - 1/16/2011
The climate is great for about 2-3 months of the year. The rest of the year is fine, as long as you like to be soaked in sweat every time you step outside for more than a minute or two. The traffic is like any other crowded metro area that lacks decent public transportation, but down here you get the added bonus of the masses of the unlicensed, uninsured, and ultra-aggressive drivers who are quite proficient at road-rage. But the experience is not limited to driving. Most places you go in South Florida, people serve up hearty helpings of "get out of my way" and "me first" with an extra-large side of "sense of entitlement." I have had the pleasure of living in South Florida for about 3/4 of my life, but have also traveled quite a lot over those years and I have yet to find a place where the overall vibe can compete with Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in terms of hostility and rudeness. I chalk it up to the combustible combination of several factors: the heat and Read More

I love Boca Raton! - 9/29/2008
Boca Raton is an absolutely beautiful city. Its lush landscaping, well manicured lawns and streets and magnificent Oceanside parks and recreational areas are just the beginning of what this beauty this city has to offer. It is a well planned city with everything an individual needs to enjoy life in Florida. For a small city, Boca Raton has a lot to offer. It has two major universities, 2 major hospitals, 3 beautiful city park beaches, a major shopping mall along with many other smaller ones, Million dollar mansions and country clubs to cute and quaint communities, A rated public schools and some amazing private schools, wide roadways and highways for easy commuting, its own private airport, magnificent ocean and beaches, great restaurants, entertainment, proximity to 3 major international airports and cultural centers and an international mix of educated professionals and families. I have lived here for over 17 years after living in other major cities and out of this country.  Read More

Boca Raton - 8/11/2008
Boca Raton is a great place to live...if you make over 100K a year.
It is very safe for the most part and generally provides a nice quality of life, but the cost of living is alot, and can start to add to the stress of living in an already overpopulated area.
Very congested building-wise and when the winter months hit, the city overflows with people.
A 4 mile trip take approx.20 minutes.
Schools are good, and although FAU is in the area, college students aren't really an issue.
Overall I'd give living her a Read More
