My husband and I moved to Glen Ellyn from Chicago in 1993 when our first child was born. One thing you should know about GE is that it is spread out and there is an "in town" part of GE and an unincorporated part of GE. This is an "in town" review. I agree with Fiona that the neighborhood is safe, walkable, and we know who our neighbors are. It is a great place to raise a family. Old Fashion Neighborhood living - 1/29/2014

It is very much like living in a college town with numerous highly regarded public and private colleges. Check out College of DuPage at cod.org - and that's just the community college! Access to top quality healthcare and specialists; shopping, restaurants etc. The only thing I don't love are the property taxes but I guess that's the admission ticket to this Read More
