Not Much to Do - 12/1/2008
Unless you're into getting wasted on a regular basis there's not a lot to do here. Most people barhop for fun. the Cedar Valley is a great place to live - 4/19/2008
We've lived in the Cedar Valley region of northeast Iowa - centered on Waterloo/Cedar Falls - for about 4 years. The housing is inexpensive, but property taxes should be looked at. There are good jobs here and kind of a neat cluster of creative firms that take advantage of Cedar Falls fiber optic system. Everything else here from 5 John Deere plants and R&D, to 2 major hospitals, 5 higher ed colleges/U's. Utilities are pretty inexpensive. Housing data says that we're low in median prices, but prices are among the fastest rising - but still affordable. there is no crime outside of the ordinary stuff. It's a very enjoyable place to Read More
