Very Convenient - 12/25/2015
We've lived in Severn for 25 years and we really enjoy the convenience. Schools are good, shopping is excellent and it's close to everything ... malls, grocery stores, BWI airport ... even casinos! We're ten minutes from Baltimore, 15 minutes from Annapolis and 5 minutes to Fort Meade.

Severn, MD General Overview - 1/21/2008
I've lived in Severn for about 3 years. Locaton is great. It's near at least 4-5 major highway access points as well as the BWI airport. Located between Baltimore and DC, it's a great location to live. Housing prices can be a bit high but for the most part affordable. Crime levels can be good anf bad depending on where you live. The closer you get to Baltimore, the worse the stats get. The greatest draw for most is the job climate. The MD/DC/VA job climate is booming, especially as it relates to the technology Read More

Hanover MD - 5/12/2007
Hanover is a nice neighborhood nestled between Ft Meade and Baltimore/Washington Airport. Moreover, it's conveniently located about 15 miles south of the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD; approx 25 miles north from the Mall in Washington DC and roughly 12 miles from Annapolis. Additionally, Hanover is close (about 5 miles) from the BWI and B&A trails--paved trails of considerable length. Can't comment on the schools as we have no children. Crime is relatively low since we're between to major metropolitan areas. Housing prices are slight higher because of our location to Baltimore and Washington. However, being located between two major metro areas you can take full advantage of all the theater, sports, concerts, etc that come to the area. You should never be Read More

Severn Living - 4/5/2007
Severn is a nice place to live. It is very convenient to just about anything you want. Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington DC are within 30 miles. Yet, the area is quiet and relatively peaceful. My only complaint is the cost of housing and traveling anywhere during the commuting Read More

Severn is a very nice place to live. - 11/24/2006
Severn is a very nice place to live. It is very convenient and friendly. Located close to Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington, DC. I live in a quiet area next to the woods and have all types of shopping, restaurants and churches in both directions (less than 4 miles away). The only downside to living here is the cost. The cost of homes is higher than the surrounding Read More
