I have lived here virtually all my life. It has grown a great deal in the past 15 years which some of us "natives" resent, just a little. It is a great place to raise a family and has that "small town" atmosphere but close to the city as it's only about 20 miles north of downtown Kansas City. It's very safe and has great schools.
