You can not beat the quality of the public schools - 6/21/2022
I basically grew up in Great Neck from ages 7 through 23. My thoughts are as follows. Yes you should be concerned about the quality of the water. My family spent plenty of money to get the water filtered and it was not always enough, my hair would get really dry unless we used a filter in the shower as well. The school systems are really one of a kind and hard to beat. I got to take advantage of many after school clubs including literature clubs, music, theatre plus helped me get one of my first jobs after school. For what our taxes covered, we benefited 40 times as far as the public schools. Without a doubt, this is a big reason why I studied and worked professionally in education.
Great Neck culture sort of revolves around shopping culture, it is not for everyone. I remembered people either loved the one bakery or they would run from it. Great Neck is located in an amazing location in NY. I could get to several nearby towns in under 25 minutes. Great Neck always feels
