Destructive gun clubs impact quality of life - 9/21/2014
While Penfield, NY is a decent town, it is marred by gun clubs that ruin many quality of life issues, and that issue is unrestrained, destructive, harmful and health impacting gun clubs.
The Genesee Conservation League in the Panorama section of Penfield is especially disturbing. This club is allowed to shoot loud guns from 9:00am to sunset, 365 days a year. This gun club is loud and dirty. The noise generated by this club is harmful to health and quality of life. Although some people think you 'get used to it,' the harm it causes the community cannot be ignored.
Many who move into the area are surprised at the loudness and constant shooting at the gun club. The noise can be heard for miles depending on which way the wind is blowing. In certain areas you have to raise your voice to be heard over the gun shots. Sundays and holidays are no different.
