Love it here except for the price and the winters - 3/13/2010
PROS: Close to the water, very picturesque, hilly and not flat like much of Long Island. High quality of life, low crime rate, clean, hometown feeling. Community activities, parades, beautiful libraries, great school system.
CONS: Taxes are going up and it is expensive to live here. Also, owning a home is a lot of upkeep between the leaves and the snow
