Need Competition - 9/28/2010
I do like living in Creedmoor. I like the smaller town feel and the lower cost of living here. I would like to see a bit of competition in certain areas. The city tends to add dollar stores and auto stores every year. We have 2 Subways, multiple asian restaurants, the bad for you fast food places yet do not have a Chick Fil a or a Captains D's which is much healthier for fast food and tastes sooo much better. I couldn't believe it when they built a SECOND Food Lion in the area instead of a Harris Teeter or Kroger. If anyone has any influence, please allow some competition in the area that is growing and could support a bit of competition. Read More

Getting better... - 5/29/2007
I moved to Creedmoor, NC from Raleigh, NC in 2004. Since then, it has become a more convenient place to live. Housing is still relatively inexpensive compared to our neighboring cities (Raleigh-Durham). We can get to North Raleigh/Brier Creek area in about 30 minutes; North Gate Mall area in Durham in about 15-20 minutes.

We have all the necessities, including a new shopping center with a grocery store (Food Lion), a few restaurants (Subway and a chinese food restaurant), and others. I live on the east side of town; the housing is a bit newer. The other side of town has all the major fast-food restaurants and a grocer or two...but is not as "pretty" (a bit older).

I love the Raleigh area but just can't afford it at this time. I'm not sure if I'll stay in Creedmoor long, but while we are waiting it's definitely not bad.
