I am a native of Cowpens. I lived elsewhere for several years but moved back here by choice, and don't intend to leave again. Some counterpoints to Brad's review: "lack of restaurants" - Within a 15 minute drive of Cowpens there are Chinese, Thai, and Indian restaurants, plus the usual Applebees, Ruby Tuesday's and Outback's, etc. Also within that radius are outlet malls, movie theaters, and other shopping/recreation. There are a lot of hill-billy's here, but overall they seem pleasant. I've lived here for a little over a year and plan to move. It will be bittersweet. The weather, nice. The cost of living and crime rate, very nice. The scummy 1980 Monte Carlo pouring smoke out of it's exhaust in front of me on my way home, ....not so nice. The lack of restaurant's, unless you like a pound of grease with each meal, not so Read More
