Would love to live in or around Jefferson - 9/11/2013
My wife and I have visited Jefferson several times, staying in various B&Bs for our anniversary. We like the small town feel, and have found that most in Jefferson are very friendly, easy to chat with, and have a favorable outlook towards their town. We love East Texas, but my wife does have problems with the heat. Just heard the Pride House burned down, and we were sorry to hear that, as that was the first B&B we stayed when we started visiting Jefferson. I really enjoy the "down home" feel to the place and I would love to move back to Texas and Jefferson would be my first choice. Hopefully in the near future, we can make that happen. Read More

Major attraction is movie theater and bowling in the next town 25 minutes away. The trains will drive anyone crazy blaring their horns at all hours, every 20-30 minutes. The schools don't have alot to offer, again very rigid people. One good thing is they frequently drug test in the high school. The teen pregnancy rate very high and smoker's extremely Read More
