Not a small town Frat boy type daily rentals - 2/14/2024
Lived here almost 10 years in retirement. Definitely not what it was 10 years ago. I knew the population would increase, that’s inevitable but it doesn’t have a small town feel at all compared to the Midwest. Lots of daily rentals, roads too small for the population, and kind of a frat boy atmosphere.
You can find climate and other data on this site but I’m just telling you it’s not small town.
Not as friendly as the Midwest I’m sad to say. Lots of good old boy real estate zoning so they overbuild and don’t worry about any type of family atmosphere. No water but one of the powerful locals is building a water park on a two lane road that’s already overcrowded.
If you’re a party type it’s ok. If you’re not I suggest looking elsewhere. I’m planning to move. Not anything I wanted to do again when I retired here. The good thing, my house has more than doubled in price. Not really anything good in the long run. Read More
